Welcome to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Laurel, Delaware
The vision for St. Philip’s Episcopal Church is to create a Christian atmosphere where everyone can worship Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, accepting all persons as they are, supporting them in hard times and sharing the joy and thanksgiving of good times; nurture growth of our faith through worship, study, and serving, whereby each of us recognizes and accepts their God given gifts and talents, then, uses them to minister within St. Philip’s, our community, and the world.

In welcoming the Habitat for Humanity workers, the St. Philip’s Youth Group, led by Cheryl Martin, opens the church doors to groups of up to 40 Habitat volunteers for a week at a time. The Youth Group welcomes each team of Habitat workers with supper on the evening of their arrival, gives them a place to sleep each night of the week, and gives them breakfast on the morning of their departure. They send lunches to Habitat work sites and have even sponsored some families. Thank God for our youth!
