St. Anne’s first day of school welcomes 324 students, including five (5) sets of twins!
Middletown, Delaware: The first day of school is always an exciting time – especially at St. Anne’s Episcopal School, which, for the 2007-2008 school year, has welcomed 324 students, including five sets of twins, including three sets that are identical! The twins come from places such as Dover and Middletown, Delaware, and Warwick, Maryland. St. Anne’s opened Tuesday, September 4, for the 2007-2008 school year.
“The twins have done a great job acclimating to St. Anne's this fall,” said Carey Koppenhaver, Assistant Head of School and Director of Admissions. “They almost all agree that it is better knowing at least one person when entering a new school, even if it is your twin sibling!”
St. Anne’s Episcopal School, a pre-K through 8th grade independent day school, opened in the fall 2002 with 183 students, and has grown to more than 320 in just six years. Offering a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that includes art, music, Spanish, and sports, St. Anne’s received its accreditation from Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in November 2006. The school also offers morning and afternoon extended care.
The mission of St. Anne’s Episcopal School is to prepare students for secondary education and lifelong learning. St. Anne’s strives to enhance the intellectual, spiritual, physical, social and artistic growth of its students so that they may realize their potential for good as citizens of local and world communities.
